GREAT BANDS ARE MADE UP OF INDIVIDUALS.
No one lets another do their job for them. They know that one person makes a difference, so they take individual responsibility – for being organized, for preparing their music, their drill, and for having their materials at every rehearsal. Each member approaches everything as if it all depends on them.
GREAT BANDS EXPECT TO SUCCEED.
They take full control of the quality of their performances but recognize that contests are won and lost at the hands of the judges. Though they occasionally fail, great bands always work hard and never expect to fail.
GREAT BANDS GO TO LENGTHS THAT LESSER BANDS FIND ANNOYING.
They take great care in the details of everyday duties because it prepares them for greater tasks. They are always mindful that there are others hoping to outperform them, so they seek the highest quality in everything they do.
