2024 Concert Season
The Wind Ensemble earned 1’s (“superior” rating) in performance and sight reading at UIL, and the Wind Symphony earned an overall 1 (“superior” rating) in both performance and sight reading! The UIL bestowed the Sweepstakes Trophy to the Timberview Band program for earning First Division “Superior Ratings” in Marching Band competition, Concert performance, and Sight-Reading performance. This is a total band program accomplishment! The Timberview Band has continued this tradition of excellence by earning this trophy every year that the contest have been held since the school opened in 2004.
2023 Marching Season: LumberTango
- HEB Drumline Contest: 4th Place in Class
- Mansfield Preview of Champions: 6th Place (highest placement at that contest since 2016)
- US Bands Dallas Showcase: 12th Place (opted out of finals, but would have advanced to finals if we had participated)
- Birdville Marching Festival: 10th Place (versus a very strong field of bands many of which were larger and 6A)
- UIL Region 5 Marching Contest: 1st Division – Superior Rating from all three judges; advancement to Area Marching Contest
- UIL Area F Marching Contest: 11th Place in preliminary competition, the second-highest ranking in school history (10th Place in 2009)
2024 Winter Guard: These Strings
The Timberview Winter Guard has competed in and been recognized at numerous NTCA (North Texas Color Guard Association) events:
• 5th place on Jan. 27, 2024, Summit High School
• 6th place on Feb. 10, 2024, Chisolm Trail High School
• 2th place on Feb. 24, 2024, Wylie High School
• 3rd place on March 9, 2024, Mansfield High School
